VIBE MAGAZINE’S LEN BURNETT RESIGNS; THINGS LOOK SHAKY OVER THERE

According to a Target Market News new flash, Len Burnett has resigned his Group Publisher post at Vibe Magazine to rejoin Uptown Magazine the media property he created with Brett Wright. Burnett came in during Kenard Gibbs reign at Vibe Magazine and under new management has attempted to keep the magazine relevant and in the mix. Unfortunately, this was too big of a task under this new team. If I was a betting man, I would say Vibe has another year left before they fold and/or find a buyer.

Meanwhile according to the piece, the highly capable and talented Burnett will go back to Uptown Magazine and I’m sure build it into a player. Quite frankly, I think the magazine was looking for a little TLC and now that Burnett will focus on it we anticipate nothing but growth.

If you are reading this from Vibe Magazine, call a recruiter or headhunter quick, the ship is sinking!
