I have been holding this one for a minute, but I see it must be public news so I will go ahead and post.
Vibe Magazine has been sold to the Black Book Magazine guys for an undisclosed amount of money.
With the state of the magazine business I’m sure it’s a lot less than they originally put it on the market for.
Leaving Vibe will be President Kenard Gibbs, the last of the good guys in the business. With a healthy background
in developing tv and film properties I’m sure he is up to something. Staying is the Vibe OG Len Burnett. Also leaving is
Editor In Chief, Mimi Valdes who is replaced by another Vibe O.G. Danyel Smith

We have made some changes to our team and our blogging game is going to get much better, we promise. Sure, KeyInfluencer is a great read, but you need to know immediately (via your rss reader) when Donnie Ienner has walked out of 550 Madision Avenue or when Jay Z decides to do the show at Radio City Music Hall, An agency lands a new piece of business, Vibe Magazine finds a buyer or even when a new NBA rookie decides to sign with CSMG Sports. All of this we know ahead of time and will be using the blog to update you on a more regular basis.
